The case management system provides an interface to the underlying database data storage. Through triggers, stored procedures, and data import documents and workflows can be produced automatically. Partner can also handle scanning directly into the case, time recording and numerous other functions which make it a fully featured case management system.

Developing the case management workflows is a major part of my job. I would start this process with a Trigger on the relevant database table. This trigger would automatically insert into the case management workflow the first document required for this particular case type. From here the first document would then ask the user a series of questions which would then roll out all the required documents for this particular case.

This enables all documents to be produced quickly and accurately by the user. Particular documents and tasks can be assigned for review or production by the fee earner or solicitor where appropriate. This enables fee earners and solicitors to concentrate on decision making and removes all of the administration and procedural work from their case load.
